IT that stops being a fire drill
Most small and midsize businesses do not have an IT problem. They have an IT timing problem. Something breaks, work stops, somebody calls whoever fixed it last time, and a day disappears. The invoice arrives two weeks later and nobody can say whether the same thing will happen again next month.
Managed IT services change the shape of that relationship. Instead of paying for time after something fails, you pay a fixed monthly fee for a team that is watching your systems continuously and fixing the small things before they become the big things. Our agents report a failing drive, a domain controller running out of space or a firewall firmware release the moment it matters, and we act on it during a maintenance window rather than during your Tuesday morning.
What we take off your plate
We take responsibility for the whole stack, not a slice of it. That means the servers, the workstations, the firewall, the switches, the wireless, your Microsoft 365 tenant, your backups and the vendors attached to all of it.
Monitoring and maintenance
Every device we manage runs an agent that reports health, performance, patch status and security posture back to our operations center. We set thresholds around the things that actually predict failure: disk health, memory pressure, backup success, certificate expiry, service state. When one trips, a ticket opens automatically and an engineer picks it up.
Patching is scheduled, tested and reported, not left to whatever Windows Update decides on its own. We hold back releases with known regressions and we tell you what was deployed and when.
Helpdesk your staff will actually use
Support only works if people use it. Our helpdesk is staffed by engineers who work on your account regularly, so they know that your accounting team runs a legacy application on a specific server and that your shop floor uses handheld scanners on a separate VLAN. Requests come in by phone, email or portal, and every one of them is tracked to closure.
Strategy, not just tickets
Once a quarter we sit down with you and go through what broke, what is aging out, what your renewals look like and what is coming up in the business that technology needs to support. You get a rolling budget and roadmap so hardware replacement stops being an emergency capital request.
Co-managed IT for teams that already have someone
If you already employ an IT manager or a small internal team, you probably do not need us to take over. You need coverage for nights and weekends, a second set of hands for projects, and specialists for the areas nobody on staff has depth in.
Co-managed engagements let your internal person stay the face of IT while we supply the tooling, the monitoring platform, the after hours rotation and the escalation path. Your staff keeps the relationship they trust. Your IT manager stops being a single point of failure.
Why businesses here choose Fiber1Solutions
Most managed service providers hand you off to a subcontractor the moment your problem involves a cable, a camera or a conference room. We do not, because we run those service lines ourselves.
When your new office needs a network, we pull the structured cabling, configure the network security, install the access control and set up the audio and video in the boardroom. One contract, one project manager, one number to call when something is not right. That coordination is where most technology projects fall apart, and it is the main reason our clients consolidate with us.
Getting started
We start every relationship with an assessment. An engineer spends time in your environment, documents what you actually have, tests your backups and hands you a written report on what is healthy, what is at risk and what should be addressed first. The report is yours whether or not you hire us.
From there we quote a flat monthly number covering everything described above, agree on a start date and begin a structured onboarding. Most companies are fully transitioned inside a month.
