Say the true thing
If the cheaper option is the right one, we say so. If a project we quoted turns out to be unnecessary, we tell you before you sign, not after. Long relationships pay better than large invoices.
About us
Fiber1Solutions was built to solve a specific frustration: technology problems do not respect vendor boundaries, but most providers do.
Ask a business owner about their technology and you will usually hear a list of vendors. An IT company for the computers. A phone vendor. A cabling contractor from the last buildout. A camera company that installed the system nobody can log into. Somewhere in there, an internet provider.
Each of them is competent inside their box. The trouble is that real problems refuse to stay inside one. A conference room that keeps dropping calls is an AV problem, a network problem and a bandwidth problem, and the three vendors involved will each demonstrate convincingly that it is not theirs. Meanwhile the business owner, who did not sign up to be a project manager, is the one running the investigation.
We built Fiber1Solutions to collapse that. Managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, phones, structured cabling, AV and access control all live with one team. When something does not work, there is one number to call and nobody to point at.
Every relationship starts with an assessment rather than a proposal. An engineer spends real time in your environment, documents what you actually have, tests the things everyone assumes are working and hands you a written findings report. That report is yours regardless of what you decide next, because you should be able to make the decision with the same information we have.
From there the work is deliberately unglamorous. We monitor continuously so small problems get caught while they are still small. We patch on a schedule and tell you what was deployed. We test restores rather than trusting a green checkmark. We document as we go, and we review the whole picture with you quarterly so hardware replacement stops arriving as a surprise capital request.
We are not the cheapest option, and we are straightforward about that. There is always somebody who will quote less by leaving out monitoring, skipping documentation or sizing the hardware to the quote instead of the requirement. Those savings show up later as downtime.
We are also not a call center. You will not explain your problem to three people before reaching someone who can solve it. The engineers who answer your calls are the engineers who built your environment, and there is a limit to how many clients that model supports. We would rather stay the size where it stays true.
How we operate
These are not posters on a wall. They are the reasons clients stay and occasionally the reasons we lose a bid.
If the cheaper option is the right one, we say so. If a project we quoted turns out to be unnecessary, we tell you before you sign, not after. Long relationships pay better than large invoices.
Rebooting the server every Tuesday is not a solution, it is a habit. We chase problems back to the thing actually causing them, even when the workaround would be faster to bill.
Every network we run is documented, labeled and mapped. If you leave us, you take that documentation with you. Nobody should be held hostage by an undocumented environment.
You should be able to understand what we are recommending and why. If an explanation requires acronyms your team does not use, the explanation is the problem.
Where we work
Most support happens remotely, and it should. But when a switch fails, a cable has to be pulled or a conference room needs commissioning, somebody has to be in the building. Across our core region that is a same day conversation rather than a next week one, because we keep the coverage tight enough to drive it.
Beyond that region we still travel. Buildouts, cabling, AV installs and multi site rollouts take us anywhere in the United States, scheduled in advance rather than same day. If you have offices spread across several states, one team covering all of them is usually the point.
914-214-9210We are based in Yorktown Heights, NY. Westchester County, NY, Rockland County, NY, Putnam County, NY, New York City, NY, New Jersey, Connecticut is our core region, where on site response is same day. We also take on site work anywhere in the United States for scheduled projects such as buildouts, cabling and multi site rollouts. Remote support, cloud and security services we deliver nationwide.
Most of our clients run between 10 and 250 staff. Under about 10 users a full managed agreement is usually more than a business needs, and we will scope something smaller rather than sell you a package that does not fit.
The technology work is ours. Managed IT, security, cloud, phones, cabling and AV are all delivered by our own team, which is the entire point of how we are set up. For trades outside our licensing, such as electrical or fire alarm, we coordinate with licensed contractors and manage that relationship for you.
Our team holds vendor certifications across the platforms we deploy, including Microsoft, Sophos and Ubiquiti. We are happy to share specific credentials relevant to a project during the quoting process.
Yes. Once a conversation gets to the point where you are seriously evaluating us, we will connect you with clients in a similar industry and of a similar size. We would rather you check.
